Harvard Business School
Program Services Intern
Program Services Intern for two summers.
While at HBX I increased online community engagement to participants by 33% and organized and updated online databases of HBX’s ticketing systems. Working for the Admissions team I researched modes to detect plagiarism and increase efficiency in application process; read and graded applicants’ essays. Additionally, when Professors streamed live HBS lectures to 60 participants around the world, I offered technical support by phone.
Boston Public Market
Community Engagement Intern & Brand Ambassador
During my second summer at HBX, I also interned at BPM to have my first exposure to food centric non-profits. My biggest project was the quarterly customer survey. Over several weeks I surveyed and analyzed 200 customers’ demographics and experience at the BPM, and presented the data using Excel graphs charts, infograhics, and maps. Another one of my tasks involved collecting and organizing vendors’ sales. For the marketing team I posted upcoming events in mail lists and online listservs.
I was chosen with two other interns among 10 to represent the market at a BPM Ambassador when the market expanded from 5 to 7 days of operation.
Slow Food USA
Network & Outreach Intern
Continuing my experience in the Food Sector I joined SFUSA at their national office in Brooklyn, NY. One of my biggest tasks was to analyze and compile the 140 chapter surveys into the chapter annual report and maintain the chapter audit. Moreover, I updated and tracked the chapter leader information via Salesforce database and responded to chapter leaders and inquiries for the Outreach Team. In the communications department, I mapped SFUSA network of 140 chapters with Indesign application. For the Policy Team I worked with the policy steering committee to build 2016 parameters and sign on to letters for Call-to-Actions.
Finally, near the end of the summer I attended SFUSA's international food conference, Slow Food Nations where I assisted in the production, sales, and customer service in Denver.
